FAQ | Labucq

Where are Labucq shoes made?

All of our shoes are made in the family-run factories in Italy.

How do I care for my Labucq shoes?

To clean your leather shoes, gently wipe with a soft, damp, neutral-colored cloth. Do not use any soaps or solvents as these can damage the leather. Always test a small, hidden area first to make sure leather damage or discoloration will not occur. We often use natural and vegetable tanned leathers on our shoes, which means they do not have synthetic or chemical sealants on top. This type of leather wears in very well, but will not react well to soap or chemical cleaning solvents - it's best to clean it with a clean cloth and a little water.

For suede, use a dry suede brush to remove dirt and debris. We encourage you to store your shoes in a cool, dry environment.

Proper care, including occasional visits to your local cobbler, will allow them to last for many years to come.

Your shoes have been handmade in Italy from the finest leathers finished with traditional tanning methods. Each pair may have slight variations in color and texture which highlight the natural beauty and unique character of its leather.
