What neighborhood do you live in?
Inwood Manhattan
What do you do for work?
Freelance Stylist
What is your favorite / most treasured item of clothing or jewelry, and why?
Kind of changes but currently these insane 1920’s antique earrings. They look like they’d be under glass at The Cloisters museum or something.
Do you have any style principles that you try to stick to on a daily basis?
Not really. I just always wear the same set of jewelry. If I forget my rings I feel super naked!
How would you define good style?
As long as it doesn’t look like the clothes are wearing you. Good style can also have nothing to do with clothing and just how you carry yourself etc.
How do shoes fit into your wardrobe?
Shoes might actually be the most important part. If they aren’t the right size or shape or heel height it could really mess it all up. I’ve got several different styles of shoes but I usually struggle with finding comfortable pairs.
Does your job dictate, in any way, what you wear everyday?
Yes. I am on my feet all day long.
How important is it for you to be comfortable in your clothes and shoes? Do you make style choices that sacrifice your comfort?
I need to be comfortable for the most part with my work but I often ignore any discomfort when it comes to shoes because I hate to wear flats and sneakers.
Where do you buy most of your clothing?
I mostly shop vintage and mostly from James Veloria.
Who are your personal style icons?
Jarvis Cocker, all the Twin Peaks characters and Monica Bellucci’s character in the movie Malena.
