What neighborhood do you live in?

Currently living in Ridgewood, Queens

What is your favorite / most treasured item of clothing or jewelry, and why?

My most treasured clothing would be my mom’s old jeans (complete with “b-nice” her potential MC name, and “free south africa” written on the legs), and her Malcolm X t shirt from the anniversary of him speaking at her college.

What do you do to feel polished before going out everyday?

The finishing touch is usually my jewelry, my bracelets, rings, and gold tooth.

Do you have any style principles that you try to stick to on a daily basis?

Comfort is key and the importance of balance. Those are my styling guidelines. The idea is that you look, and feel, good enough to step into any place/space and feel 100%.

How important is it for you to be comfortable in your clothes and shoes? Do you make style choices that sacrifice your comfort?

As someone who spends most of their time in clogs, I’d say it’s imperative. I’m not into high maintenance looks.

Where do you buy most of your clothing?

Most of my clothing is second hand. I don’t do a lot of shopping although i do love to dig through my brothers old clothes.

Do you have a particular item of clothing or an accessory that makes you feel powerful? confident? safe?

My jewelry makes me feel most powerful, confident, safe. Most pieces were made for/by me, and/or were given to me by someone I love, so to wear these pieces is to channel their power, too.
