What neighborhood do you live in?

Bedstuy, Brooklyn

What do you do for work?

Freelance creative consulting. Usually a mix of social media strategy, art direction, and photography

What is your favorite / most treasured item of clothing or jewelry, and why?

I try not to get too attached to any particular item of clothing but I have a pair of bright mustard yellow pants that were my mom’s in the 80s

What do you do to feel polished before going out everyday?

My bangs cover half of my face so I usually try to make sure they look okay before going out—I like them best when they are somewhere between too clean and too greasy.

How do shoes fit into your wardrobe?

I love shoes for either dressing up or down the rest of what I’m wearing. If I’m in something more formal or dressy, I like to wear sneakers to balance it out. If my outfit is really casual but I want to feel a little more polished, I might wear an oxford or block heel.

Does your job dictate, in any way, what you wear everyday?

My days can really vary. If I’m working from home, sometimes I’m in pajamas til noon. If I’m working on set, I’m in sneakers and something that allows for a lot of movement. If i’m meeting clients, I usually try to make sure whatever I’m wearing is appropriate for their office—luckily most of my clients have very casual dress codes.

How important is it for you to be comfortable in your clothes and shoes? Do you make style choices that sacrifice your comfort?

Comfort is probably number one for me when considering what to wear. I feel the most confident when I’m comfortable, so I try to make sure to dress for that.
